The One Thing

I'm not exaggerating when I say this book set me free, ya'll! I ran my studio like an agency for a whole year and HATED it! This book gave me permission to run my business from a very personal approach, and not feel pressure to "look big." It shares how Paul Jarvis, the author, stayed a "company of one", and STILL booked HUGE clients!

Rework challenges the way of doing business. It appeals to the minimalist, modern, and simple approach for the modern age's entrepreneur. Can you tell why I like it, just by that sentence alone, lol? It's written by one of the creators of Basecamp, a project management system. He lays it ALL out there, from marketing to getting clients.

Essentialism spoke straight to my little minimalist heart and wouldn't let go! If you know you have a lot of tasks to complete but have a hard time knowing WHAT the heck to do first (because you think they're all equally important) get this book!

I know what you're thinking.
This is supposed to be a set of books all about business. Yea...I know. But can I tell you a secret? My biggest breakthroughs in business came when I had breakthroughs in my personal development. Few people talk about how important mental health is for the entrepreneur, but I promise you it's the real sauce. Tap into this and watch the growth happen!

The One Thing helped me cut through the mental clutter that's involved on the daily with running a small business!
Here's a short clip from its' page on Amazon, a message I 100% approve.
"In The ONE Thing, you'll learn to: achieve better results in less time, build momentum toward your goal, dial down the stress, overcome that overwhelmed feeling, revive your energy
stay on track, master what matters to you."

Atomic Habits

This book is the most helpful resource I've ever found about setting goals and achieving them.
It focusing on habits as the gateway towards hitting goals, instead of the goals  themselves. A MUST read if you have difficulty setting a goal and sticking with it.
